Act responsibly

Responsible entrepreneurs take into account the impacts on the environment, people and the economy.

Responsible business refers to decisions that take into account not only economic profitability but also the environment, society and people. This is reflected, for example, on sustainable procurement, energy efficiency, non-discriminating customer service or support for local operators. Responsibility is not just an image matter – it affects the customer’s purchase decision and improves the company’s reputation.

It is also important to comply with the principles of equality and non-discrimination in business. Customers and employees must be treated equally regardless of their age, gender, ethnic background or functional capacity, for example. Clear communication and accessible services are part of this responsibility.

Knowledge of consumer protection and safety obligations is also part of responsible operation. Products and services must be safe, clearly priced and suitable for use. The consumer has the right to receive truthful information and, if necessary, compensation for a defective product or service. Clear terms of delivery and return, appropriate instructions for use and responding to customer feedback are examples of a good customer experience and, at the same time, legal requirements.

Also remember data protection related to the processing of personal information – customer registers must comply with data protection legislation, and the customer must be clearly informed of how their information is used.
