Unemployment benefits for entrepreneurs

When you become a full-time entrepreneur, be aware of how your unemployment benefits are determined. Entrepreneurs have their own unemployment fund.

Entrepreneurs are not automatically entitled to unemployment benefits, and the concept of terminating a business may vary depending on the form of company and the whole. If you join entrepreneurs’ unemployment fund (Entrepreneur Fund), you meet the employment condition and the business is considered to have ended, you can receive an earnings-related daily allowance. Otherwise, the benefit is based on Kela’s basic unemployment allowance or the labour market subsidy.
